ST. LOUIS, MO (March 5, 2010) – In September 2009, two St. Louis organizations joined forces for the purpose of serving sick children and their families. Equis Hospitality Management announced at the grand opening of its new Homewood Suites by Hilton - St. Louis Galleria that it was partnering with Ranken Jordan—A Pediatric Specialty Hospital, to provide complimentary housing and transportation for the families of Ranken Jordan patients. Since Sept. 28, 2009, the first night a patient family member stayed at Homewood Suites, Equis hotels have provided a home away from home for more than 30 families. The not-for-profit hospital estimates savings of more than $30,000 in the last five months. In recognition of Equis' valuable contribution, Ranken Jordan officials today surprised CEO Michael Mullenix, President Jerry Fisher and their hotel staffs with a progressive three-hotel celebration.

ST. LOUIS, (May 2007) – EQUIS Hospitality Management, LLC and Syndicated Equities have acquired the Residence Inn by Marriott – Alexandria Old Town (Alexandria, Va.) hotel through a strategic partnership. EQUIS will be responsible for asset managing and overseeing the hotel. Over the past ten years, the principals of EQUIS have developed, owned and operated more than 20 hotels, including nine Marriott hotels. Syndicated Equities structured the financing and provided the equity for the acquisition. Syndicated Equities is a national real estate investment company that, over the past decade, has built a diversified portfolio in excess of $1 billion.

Maryland Heights, MO, April 27, 2007 – Homewood Suites® by Hilton today announced that James Vavak has been appointed general manager of the new Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel located at 13639 Riverport Drive. The 104-suite hotel, currently under construction, is scheduled to open in July 2007.

As general manager, Vavak will direct all areas of the hotel’s operations, including guest services, sales and marketing efforts, and hotel administration.
